A basic drop-shoulder top with nautical details, the instructions are written for DK to Aran weight yarns, and can be adjusted for any yarn weight and gauge - making this pattern ideal for Folklore’s selection of cotton-blend yarns.
YARN
Suitable for DK to Aran weight yarns (approximately 165m/ 185y - 200m/ 225y per100g/ 3.5oz
GAUGE
18 sts x 24 rounds = 10cm x10cm/ 4” x 4” in stockinette for main fabric
20 sts x 26 rounds = 10cm x10cm/ 4” x 4” in 2x2 rib for hem
22 sts x 28 rounds = 10cm x10cm/ 4” x 4” in 2x2 rib for neckband and cuffs
REQUIRED NEEDLES
A: 4.5mm, or as needed to meet gauge for main fabric needle
B (ribbed edgings for hem): 4mm, or 0.5mm smaller in diameter than needles used for main fabric needle
C (ribbed edgings for neckband and cuffs): 3.5mm, or 1mm smaller in diameter than for main fabric
